Fully Funded PhD Position in Spain – Biosciences (INTROS DC7, MSCA) 🚨

The Universidad del País Vasco / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) invites applications for a fully funded PhD position under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Doctoral Network (INTROS).

🔬 Project Focus: Development of an innovative dual-action hydrogel wound dressing with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties to prevent infections and stop acute wounds from progressing into chronic conditions.

📚 What You’ll Do

Design and test antimicrobial nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs).

Develop Laponite/alginate hydrogels with mediator scavenging properties.

Perform in vitro and in vivo experiments.

Work on scale-up production for GMP standards.

Publish research, file patents, and present at international conferences.

✅ Eligibility

Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Materials Science, or Engineering.

Strong lab skills, English fluency (Spanish is a plus).

Not resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.

No prior PhD.
