The Dubai International Baja 2024 was held over last weekend in the Qudra Dunes and sabkha area south of Dubai. EMSO arranged a 380kms route for the two days of competitive racing in all classes. Each day saw slightly different routes but arranged into 3 loops with re-fuel available each time.
Nasser the Dakar and desert master enters a number of cars under the Nasser Racing School name. The School is in Spain and encourages youngsters to get involved in the Rally raid sport. Nasser's car a Taurus T3 class desert racer is fitted with a turbo charged VW 3 cylinder turbo production engine but with about 170 bhp to use for competiton, 95 to 115bhp engines are found in many Skoda Fabias, Polos and Ibiza family hatchbacks. Nasser the desert master is up against the Toyota Hilux Dakars of Seth and Lucas but never underestimate Nasser's skills and of course he takes top honors with the win.
