This video shows you how to install a hood latch on your 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala. The hood latch many times can become rusty and seized, or stuck, after many years of wet or salty air passing through the front end of your vehicle. When that happens, you may find yourself unable to open your hood, or unable to keep the hood shut. Either an inconvenience, or a danger, you should replace it.

This repair was done on a 2009 Chevrolet Impala LT 3.5L Sedan 4-Door FWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2006 Chevrolet Impala

2008 Chevrolet Impala

• 10mm Wrench
• Needle nose pliers
