Where Hunter College Complains is a live call-in show hosted by Kyle, a slightly quirky self-absorbed host who often gets caught up talking about himself instead of fully listening to the people calling in. Early comedic chaos escalates when an angry caller interrupts the show. The encounter turns tense after a jab at something personal to Kyle revealing his vulnerability. As the episode continues, Kyle experiences a surreal, dreamlike confrontation with his own fears and pressures, revealing a more emotional side. The live show transforms into Where Hunter College Cries, a heartfelt finale where Kyle apologizes on-air, solidifying the blending of comedy and drama.
Though aired live, the show was scripted, with all performances and segments planned in advance.
My Role:
I served as assistant director and contributed to multiple production elements. I edited and designed the opening intro and ending graphics, co-directed the satirical commercial segment, and helped design the flat sets to achieve the desired look and color palette.
