"I opened my eyes for the first time on a boat
screaming with all the strength in my throat
I had just enough time to understand what love was
It was the most beautiful light that I saw

Then the boat was overturned from the sea
And for years I wondered "why me?"
Now I know that is the fate of all
If it happens early it’s better, the boat is still small

So those arms full of love tried to save me
And for years thanks to them I was able to swim
but the waves were too strong or who was holding me too weak
The sea pushed me away, and alone I said "I can do it!"

I soon learned that the waves can be dangerous
Sometimes I came across a sea that I didn’t know
And I met other castaways like me
who have made me see the sea as I had ever seen

Thanks to them several times I was afloat
and sometimes because of them I’ve braved the storms alone
so I searched again for that love full of light
but they were fighting against the sea and they lost the fight

I saw many people disappear into the sea
thereby triggering hurricanes that pointed toward me
and I don’t know how, I'm still here, marked by storms and waves
I should get on a boat, but I'm not so brave

There were moments of light and love
where I was so confused as to not understand if I was on a boat
but a rudder can not be entrusted to a confused dreamer
if you want to dream you must be a good swimmer

I thought I had learned to love when I was born
but my love is like a rose with too many thorns
so if that is not enough, to survive in this sea
I'll just do what I do best: sing and swim."
