An Illinois Central EMD SD70 "Death Star" engine is on the point of a long, fast Canadian National M338 train. The 170 car train rolls past the signal guarding the east switch at Burlington, Illinois. Trailing are BCOL 4642 and 4641. C44-9WL engines.
I had been tracking this one before it went by Freeport, Illinois with the help of Mark's great Freeport sub ATCS Monitor setup and Steve's super northern Illinois online railroad scanner. Lucky to have some nifty mid-morning Autumn light, too.
