I've been in love with Seamus Bake's playing on the saxophone for a long time now. I remember watching him perform live and I was just taken away from his sound alone...one of the biggest sounds I've ever heard live (literally nothing like it)
So I've been checking out his music both on and off the record, and he recently released his album "Angels" on July 16, 2024 and it just has some of the best melodies and improvisation I've ever heard. Both virtuosic and melodious, so I'm going to be transcribing some of my favorites from this album till the end of the year.
