I honestly can’t believe I just completed Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept, one of the most beautiful and immersive side quests in Where Winds Meet.

This quest completely caught me off guard. The music, atmosphere, storytelling, and pacing were on another level, to the point where it didn’t feel like a side quest anymore — it felt like a movie. I never expected an MMO like Where Winds Meet to deliver such a deeply emotional and cinematic experience.

The entire quest gave me strong Hellblade / Senua’s Sacrifice vibes, especially in how it used sound design, silence, and environment to tell its story. Experiences like this are exactly why I love story-driven games, and I really hope the developers add more side quests like this in the future.

I know this isn’t a new quest, and some of you may have already played it, but I couldn’t let this one go without sharing it. If you missed Where a Thousand Buddhas Wept, or didn’t get the chance to fully experience it, I hope this video helps showcase just how special this quest truly is.
