The Blue Justice Conference 2020 was held from 10-11 December 2020, to foster cooperation towards a fair blue economy free from fisheries crime.
This international digital conference is in cooperation between Blue Justice, UNDP, UNODC, the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the North Atlantic Fisheries Intelligence Group (NA-fig).
The aim of the Conference is to continue momentum of those states that have signed up to "International Declaration against Transnational Organized Crime in the Global Fishing Industry" (Copenhagen Declaration) and to encourage new states into the group of supporting countries to the Copenhagen Declaration. Further, it is to encourage operationalization of the Declaration by capacity building initiatives under the Blue Justice Initiative.
