The meeting comes ahead of Modi's scheduled bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 31. Modi and Putin are expected to discuss bilateral ties and key regional and international developments.

Pashinyan is also scheduled to meet Putin during the Bishkek summit. Their talks are expected to include Armenia's relationship with the European Union and its cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.

The SCO summit has brought Modi, Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping and other regional leaders together in Bishkek, amid significant geopolitical developments and discussions on regional security and cooperation.
