Wow was this one an unexpected challenge to play!
I compose this back when I was 16 years old (how time flies!) and recently got to learning it. Intermezzo, as you might already know, is usually a piece between two larger ones. However, the first time I heard the name "Intermezzo," I thought it meant melodies are interweaved to an extent it could be succinctly described as a mess: "inter-mess-o." So, this is what I've chosen to do here: the main melody from the B-flat section can form a canon with itself on 3 different voices and also works harmonically with the second subject of the first movement (see if you can spot them in the score :)). Although the melodies interweave, I hope you, dear listener, don't find this music a mess, haha.
I like to also think this piece as a finger exercise for independence of each finger as different lines have to be highlights (kind of like a fugue) which I tried my best/failed to bring out
Anyways, please enjoy! Also, like and subscribe if you find this pleasing to the ears!
1st movement: • Piano Sonata no. 1, I. Allegro con fuoco |...
2nd movement: • Piano Sonata no.1, II: Andante sostenuto |...
I've also made an orchestral rearrangement of this if you would like to check it out: • Adagio in B♭ | original composition
Повторяем попытку...
