"i just wanna say i wrote this song for those who feel alone. i’ve had one of my best friends attempt suicide three times and i wrote this song as a gift to her. i was there by her hospital bed for hours with her, and i wrote this song to comfort her. to know that i care and that i love her. reading all these comments and seeing how this song is comforting people is insanely surreal, and my i’m so grateful that my goal has been achieved.
