A poignant allegory of man's inhumanity to Martians, mirroring the westward expansion and the mistreatment of Native Americans. The system cue has been deleted. This script was first used on "Dimension X" on January 14, 1951, and later on "X Minus One" on November 14, 1956, "Future Tense" on September 13, 1973, and "Project '73" on September 19, 1973. It was also rebroadcast on "Monitor" in March 1975.

The story is narrated by a man who recounts his boyhood experience of the tragic death march of the Martians in 1997. He tells how the spider-beings, having escaped from reservations, are led by an Earthman on a desperate journey back to their mountain home. This tale highlights the cruelty and injustice faced by the Martians in their struggle for freedom and survival.
