Powerful Snow Storm Strands Multiple Vehicles

 A powerful snow storm in the San Bernardino Mountains has forced multiple vehicles to get stuck and stranded in brutal snow conditions all along highway 18 near Big Bear.
The storm started with powerful punch around 5:30 at night, however the second round caused dangerous driving conditions including several inches of snow on the highway in less than an hour, and zero visibility conditions that made even the most experienced snow drivers nervous and uncomfortable.
The drive between Big Bear dam, and Snow Valley is where all the actions was as caravans of vehicles continue to pour up the mountain with highway 38 closed due to the mud slides a couple months ago.
Multiple vehicles were stuck in snow making it difficult for snow plows to clear the roads.
As the night goes on, snow levels are actually rising as the warmer part of the storm makes its way over the mountain rising snow levels from 6k ft. all the way up to 7500.
So far no injuries or major traffic collisions have been reported and Caltrans continues to work diligently to keep the roads clear.
UPDATE: As of 2:10 AM, the new chain control check point on highway 18 is at Snow valley
