The whole process in summary
1. Submit an entry/ fill out the DV Lottery application
2. Selection of applicants
3. If you are selected;
Confirm your qualification
Submit your immigrant visa or alien registration application
Submit supporting documents
VISA interview
Prepare for the interview
Applicants interview
After the interview; approved or denied
Visa approval - You will be informed how and when your passport and visa will be returned to you.
Visa denial - If denied, you will be informed why you are ineligible to receive a visa.
If you are already in the US, and you do not fill DS-260, your process will be a change of status.
