Leapfrog Viewer Video #4 - Understanding the Layers of the 3D Model

Описание: This is the fourth of four videos about the use of a three-dimensional geological model of the Paleozoic bedrock of southern Ontario with the Leapfrog viewer. This video provides an in-depth look at Shapes, including the different viewing options for the many layers and features which comprise the 3D model (shape categories, shape faces) as well as how to navigate these viewing options efficiently (selecting multiple faces simultaneously). This video also demonstrates the use of the Measure tool, in relation to the thickness of the geologic layers which make up the model.

The series has been created by Dr. John Johnston and Henry Visneskie from the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences (https://uwaterloo.ca/earth-environmen...) at the University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Each video in this series describes different features and functionalities of the Leapfrog Viewer (version 5.0), intended to support University of Waterloo students in Earth 235, Stratigraphic Approaches to understanding Earth History.
