This video is posted in response to Kim Elliott's request for samples of reception under noisy or difficult conditions. In order to create a noisy channel, only the upper sideband of this signal is being decoded. It suffers from varying amounts of drifty PSU noise, plus some fading.
What we see begins near the end of the MT63-2K broadcast of a VOA news story. Notice that the MT63 is invisible on the Fldigi waterfall. Since 99% of the copy was gibberish, there was no point in showing the whole transmission. Actually, the web link at the end was pretty much the only thing intelligible.
When we switch to MFSK-64, the difference is dramatic. Copy is around 98%. This result is consistent with other experiences when MFSK modes are used on AM transmitters. They always outperform PSK or OFDM modes.
