On August 4, 2019 I did a LIVE Broadcast of me painting on a Sky and Clouds Mural for a private client in Middle TN. The day before I had posted a few photos of this project and so many people responded, I decided to to a short Live Feed the next day.
I explain how I paint clouds with acrylic paint by build layers on the wall using a painting technique called 'scumbling'..... or smushing your brush and scrubbing the paint around in random directions. Plus I premix my colors and work the overall area establishing my basic composition and color values.
This has been my how to paint clouds approach on illustrative murals for decades.
The paint is latex and craft acrylics When finished I will put a sealer top coat matte finish to protect the painting.
