While staying near to Dolgellau in late August I decided to visit Barmouth and take a train across the amazing railway bridge. I caught the 12:55 departure a 2 car Class 158 form Barmouth Railway Station and got off at Morfa Mawddach complete with my Collie 'Gilly'. We then did the walk back across the bridge using the wooden walkway. This is used by pedestrians and cyclists, beware it can get very busy.
Th bridge is due to close from Sunday 11th September for on-going restoration work This will continue into 2023 but with periods of opening in between.
