শুল্ক পুনর্বিবেচনা চেয়ে মার্কিন প্রেসিডেন্ট ডনাল্ট ট্রাম্পকে চিঠি দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা ড. মুহম্মদ ইউনূস। চিঠিতে তিন মাসের জন্য শুল্ক স্থগিতের অনুরোধ জানানো হয়। সোমবার এ চিঠি পাঠানো হয় বলে প্রধান উপদেষ্টার প্রেস উইং সূত্রে জানা গেছে। চিঠিতে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র ও বাংলাদেশের মধকার বাণিজ্য ঘাটতি কমিয়ে আনতে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের নানা পদক্ষেপের কথা তুলে ধরা হয়। গত ২ এপ্রিল বিভিন্ন দেশের পণ্যের ওপর নতুন করে শুল্ক আরোপ করেন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের প্রেসিডেন্ট ডোনাল্ড ট্রাম্প। এতে বাংলাদেশি পণ্যের ওপরে ৩৭ শতাংশ শুল্ক আরোপ করা হয়।
