Sookie is heading home from work when she eavesdrops Eric saying that he is not interested in her. She is hurt and remembers the first time she saw him and how attracted she was but she also remembers how scared she was with the whole vampire world and so when Sam asked her out she accepted. She remembers the night Eric saw her with Sam and got angry and decided to leave town. Sam who noticed Sookie staring at Eric left the party too as he knew that she was not interested in him but with the vampire. Sookie went back to Erics house to find that he had left town. She remembers how since that night a year had passed and how she had lost her fear of vampires and was now dating one, Bill Compton. She remembers the night Bill took her to fangtasia where she found out that he had come back. Eric at seeing her at the bar realized that he was still interested in her and she realized that she was not over him. At the present day, two days after seeing her again Eric decides to go to Merlotte and tests if Sookie still has feelings for him going on a date with a girl. Sookie who has doubts about her future with Bill tells him she needs time. Sookie starts walking and thinking about her true feelings when she hears Eric calling her name. When she sees him alone for the first time after a year she realizes that he is the one she wants to spend her life with.
E: Im not interested in Sookie
G: Do you want to be alone with him?
S: Maybe
J: Can we eat her?
E: Of course not
S: You certainly cannot feed on me
S: I always though as different as we are somehow we could still be together and now I dont know I dont know anything
Sm: I was gonna ask you if you want to go with me. Maybe grab a cup of coffe or something?
S: Why not.
S: He is not coming back.
B: You said you wanted to go out tonight
S: I did not mean fangtasia.
B: Is Eric. You noticed him did you.
S: No, is not like that. I just
Sm: I need your help.
E: Can you give me Sookie Stackhouse?
S: no.
E: Thats a shame.
S: I cant stay, not tonight.
E: Sookie.
S: I just
