Graphic settings for VPX / Visual Pinball 10.8 and Nvidia - Frame Pacing, POV and Flipper Tricks

Описание: I thought I’ll run through my VPX and Nvidia settings that allow Frame Pacing to work efficiently for low input latency and without stuttering. I show the difference in Frame Pacing input latency between the DirectX and OpenGL (with a little workaround) versions. I also go through some settings in the F12 menu in VPX. I explain my Point of View, as well as refraction and reflection settings. I quickly show the flipper tricks setting in the VPW release of Fish Tales. This amazing option allows controller/keyboard players to use flipper tricks with similar finesse as players with GoldLeaf buttons. I go through my Nvidia settings to explain the use of DLDSR as a lower performance impact alternative for anti-aliasing. I lastly highlight that any sync system, e.g. V-sync or monitor G-/Free-Sync clashes and hinders Frame Pacing from working effectively.

My basic aim with any tips and strategy gameplay video I post is to help the viewer improve his skill in the game and on the specific table. I do this by identifying the safest and most efficient strategy to follow to play through the modes and to reach and beat the wizard mode. This is admittedly not always the most efficient way to achieve a high score, but once you understand the table, including which shots and modes are worth it or not, it puts you in the position where you can concentrate on what you have identified as the best approach to reaching a high score.
