This is new technology when it comes to producing rubber. Ethylene gas is injected into the tree to stimulate rubber production. It is demonstrated here at our rubber plantation which is near the farm (the "farm" from numerous videos already online).
Ethylene is actually produced by plants naturally and is used to hasten the ripening certain fruits.
