The Management Data Input Output (MDIO) bus is a 2-wire serial bus used to manage physical layer devices in Media Access Controllers (MACs) in Gigabit Ethernet equipment. The management of these PHYs is based on the access and modification of their various registers.
Setting up a decode and search on the 4/5/6 Series MSO is a breeze, allowing the engineer to spend more time on analysis and less time mastering test equipment.
