At Chicago Spine and Sports we use this exercise to reduce pain, centralize pain, improve range of motion for patients with an MDT classification of anterior lumbar derangement.
Programming: Lumbar flexion can be performed for 10-15 repetitions, and every two to three hours.
We are hoping to get in the range of 90-150 reps spread out throughout the day.
Goal(s): reduce pain, centralize pain, improve range of motion
Progression(s): None
Equipment: a friend to help get full flexion.
