Come along as our family takes a break from Philippine travel to volunteer in an impoverished Manila community through our new charitable partnership with Project PEARLS.

This is a different kind of episode compared to our typical adventure travel videos. It’s also one that we’re especially excited to share because it highlights a part of our family’s culture-focused DNA — and that focus spans all aspects of a culture, whether good or bad.

Even though 99% of our content focuses on the exciting and aspirational experiences that we share from our trips around the globe, the reality is that most of the places we visit exist against an often-hidden backdrop of poverty, hunger, and often, suffering. Since we started exploring the world 4 years ago, we’ve looked for opportunities to help these communities through our own financial giving, increased exposure through our episodes, and calls-to-action on our website.

Recently, a friend introduced us to a Philippine charity called Project PEARLS and it sounded like a great organization for us to support through donations, volunteering, and highlighting. Today’s episode features our family’s first collaboration with Project PEARLS, but hopefully it’s the first of many to come.
