English Riviera Airshow, Sunday 4th June 2023

Описание: Returning to Torbay for 2023 was the annual English Riviera Airshow. Centered on the seaside town of Paignton, the sweeping bay from Paignton to Torquay provides a natural amphitheatre for amazing aerial displays.

Taking up our location on the opposite side of the bay to the crowd centre, we have a unique and incredible view of many of the displays, with aircraft arriving and departing directly overhead giving us amazing close ups!

Dropping in to start the 2023 display we have the Tigers Army Parachute Display Team, followed in quick succession by the 0V-10 Bronco. Moving on we have a pair of Strikemaster aircraft, before turning back the clock with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, bringing a Hawker Hurricane, Supermarine Spitfire and the legendary Avro Lancaster.

Upping the pace with some aerobatics we have the Yakolev Yak 50, followed, after a real life break, by the incredible Jet Pitts S2S with some more amazing aerobatics, before the North American Texan T-6 takes to the display line. The next pairing sees Navy Wings bringing their Fairey Swordfish and Westland Wasp to the display, and for the first of our big group aerobatic displays Team Raven with their 5 Vans RV8 aircraft. To conclude the display the Supermarine Seafire takes us back once again, before the ever spectacular RAF Red Arrows close out the show.
