In this video, we embark on a fishing adventure at Cape Jervis, South Australia, with the goal of catching the elusive kingfish. Despite trying various techniques, including live baits, lures, and optimal tidal conditions, the kingfish managed to evade us. However, we successfully caught trevally, ling fish, blue wrasse, squid, and more while appreciating the area’s stunning wildlife, including dolphins and birds. We also highlight the importance of releasing snapper to support conservation efforts. This trip showcases the joy of fishing as a connection to nature and a step toward sustainable outdoor practices.
