UPPER MAMRING KHASMAHAL

Situated in Sittong II Gram Panchayat under Kurseong subdivision of Darjeeling district, Upper Mamring Khasmahal is the new offbeat place of North Bengal. Tourists often overlook this hidden gem, which to me, they should definitely consider exploring. I discovered its breathtaking beauty during the Easter holidays which falls within the springtime and from the first look I fell in love with this place. On the way to Upper Mamring from Dilaram, combination of Dhupi trees along with dense fog makes the road/place breathtaking to look at. I stayed in Upper Mamring's Khee Homestay which to me is one of the best homestays in North Bengal for their warm hospitality. In the above vlog, I have shared my total experience.

The nearest tourist places from Upper Mamring are Bagora, Chimney, Chatakpur, Sittong I/II/III, Mungpoo/Mongpu, Labdah, Toryok/Turuk, Jogighat, Kurseong and many other places.

How to Reach Upper Mamring:
1. From Siliguri/Bagdogra Airport one can reserve a car for Upper Mamring, which will cost approximately around Rs. 3500 to 4500 depending upon the demand/season.
2. By Bus from Siliguri Tenjing Norgey Bus Terminus (Siliguri Junction) to Kurseong or Dilaram, will cost Rs. 100 per person. After reaching Kurseong or Dilaram, book a car for Upper Mamring, it will cost approximately around Rs. 1200 to 1500.
3. Another way (cheapest) is to get a shared car from just outside of Siliguri Tenjing Norgey Bus Terminus or Darjeeling More in Siliguri to Kurseong and from Kurseong one Service Jeep goes directly to Khee Homestay in Upper Mamring which leaves approximately between 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Contact homestay for the details regarding this.

Distance from Siliguri Junction to Dilaram is 45 km and from Dilaram to Upper Mamring is 8 Km. From Kurseong to Upper Mamring the distance is 17 Km.
