I went up Mount Calamorro in Benalmadena, Spain, to see the awesome bird of prey show, epic views and exotic wild life. I seen lizards, butterflies, a dragonfly, grass hoppers and of course the show.
The show is undoubtedly the best I have ever seen and that's saying something - I have seen a lot of them! The birds are incredibly well trained and soar free in flight displays around the mountain summit, as well as getting up close and personal - Leo the Harris hawk sits on your head and I got a photo with Hercules the kestrel!
The nuptial flight of the golden eagle is a rare sight, as they never would perform it in front of humans. However, this was a captive bred animal and knew no different. The flight itself consists of an undulating pattern where the eagle flies up then suddenly plummets in a stoop and repeats.
I highly recommend it if you are in the area!
