To preserve and deepen our multiculturalism, MCCY will launch a new $20 million Multicultural Arts Programme Grant to support the development of practitioners in the sector and strengthen the ethnic identities of our historic districts such as Kampong Gelam and Little India.
Over the next five years, a new $50 million SG Partnerships Fund will support community projects. More pathways and opportunities will also be created for Singaporeans to pursue their diverse passions and fulfil their aspirations.
The vision is for a "We First" Singapore where communities interact, understand and respect one another's cultures more to ensure our Singaporean identity remains strong.
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo was speaking at the Committee of Supply Debates in Parliament on 5 March 2026.
