This is leg 2, the international portion of my itinerary, my first international flight since the pandemic started.

A bit of a long layover due to the time changes since the purchase of my award ticket. I can't complain. I was able to book the flight for 40,000 American Airlines miles and $97 in taxes and fees. Definitely worth the price, and something I would book again.

During the boarding process we were all asked to make a separate line to take our temperature. This is regulation imposed by the Argentinian government for any international flight. Shortly after we were able to board the aircraft.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner is by far one of my favorite aircraft, it is very serene, quiet and even though I was in economy, it feels extremely spacious and comfortable.

The cabin is spotless and is well maintained, and American Airlines really delivered a great product throughout the entire trip. Something that usually does not occur.

We departed on time and did not run into any issues throughout the flight. The only thing at one point, a kid threw up in the center galley and the poor flight attendants had to clean up the mess.
Other than that, everyone wore their masks, the food was tasty and it was a very pleasant experience.

Once we landed in Ezeiza, we parked at the gate and ran into an inconvenience...
Due to the large amount of international flights arriving at that time. Argentinian customs requested that we stay onboard the aircraft until there is enough spacing at immigration and customs. This turned into a 1 hour wait until we were allowed to deboard. The only benefit I felt from this is that immigration went fairly quick, so did baggage and customs as this was the only flight going through!

After exiting the airport I had to take an additional COVID-19 test to enter the city. This is required by Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires (CABA). The testing was extremely quick and I received the results within 12 hours!
