On the outskirts of Carrig, down the coast from Kinsale
Lies a cove that's the centre of manys a tale
Where the sea carves out stories in stones every gale
In the small rocky bay of Nohoval
On manys a Saturday down we would spin
To that famous old rock, climb on up and jump in
Through the swarms of small jellyfish back we would swim
And we'd dry ourselves off in Nohoval
I will drive us down
We'll pass through that small town
With the church up on the hill
Those memories are with us still
I remember my friend didn't lock up his door
And the bhoys took advantage of an easy score
Oh well wallets and phones and by god plenty more
They were knicked on that day in Nohoval
A deceiving love story began with a tryst
When behind the old ruins when stealing a kiss
From a girl not my own that I knew I should miss
Oh my morals were lost in Nohoval
I will drive us down
We'll pass through that small town
With the church up on the hill
Those memories are with us still
And we'd stop off at Dino's when finished our dip
For a breast in a bun and an old curried chip
Oh t he food don't take long to pass over your lips
Hunger made in the sea of Nohoval
When my boy he decided to get down on one knee
There was only one spot he would want it to be
With cliffs on both sides she had nowhere to flee
So her answer was yes in Nohoval
I will drive us down
We'll pass through that small town
With the church up on the hill
Those memories are with us still
And though those days are gone
The nostalgia it still lives on
Of a childhood pure and free
Of those days spent in the sea
In Nohoval
Take Me Down To Nohoval
