We have been manufacturing high tensile closures for over 90 years and are true experts in this field. Dirk van Beest founded the company Van Beest in 1922, initially as a supplier of ironworks to the dredging industry, a highly developed industry in the Sliedrecht region.

From the very beginning, the company has focused on forging closures. Thanks to the experience in the field of ironwork, Van Beest had an advantage over the competition with its closures, which meant the start of a network of professional users that now extends all over the world.

In the 1970s, the Green Pin® trade name was introduced to emphasize product quality, recognition, and global demand. Our Green Pin® closures are produced at our production location in Sliedrecht. It is a real "Made in Holland" product. Currently, not only shackles are sold under the name Green Pin®, but also other steel wire accessories such as sockets, turnbuckles, cable clamps, load binders, etc.

In 2007, class 8 and class 10 hooks and chain accessories were added to the product range through the acquisition of a French company. These are produced in our French factory. The Green Pin® range of chain accessories is very extensive. Everything you need to make a sling can be found in this program: from the master link to the hook, whether it has to be an eye, swivel, or clevis hook. In addition to class 8, almost every product can also be supplied in class 10 or in stainless steel.
