Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today when we're talking about the Titan Chain Quick Links. Now these are gonna be great, especially if you have a trailer and you just wanna make your connections a little bit easier to connect. So let's check 'em out. So these are gonna have you a ton of different uses, but what I primarily see them used for is on the truck side of things when connecting to your safety chains because sometimes the safety chains are just barely shy of making that connection. If your hitch is kind of further recessed, especially with those safety chain loops, it be kind of hard to reach or sometimes it's uncomfortable.
Like this spot I have here, well, it still will make that connection. It's kind of hard to find that opening. And that opening we do have is a little small and that's where we can just simply throw this on, just undo that nut there, hook it through and re-tighten it together. And this can pretty much just live right here on your truck until you do need to make those connections with your safety chain loops. And that's a far easier connection point than what it was before.
Or I'll see some people even put 'em on the trailer side of things. If you have some type of mounting location that's a little bit hard to work with, these grab onto there just fine. Now let's talk a little bit more about the specs of this. So you'll notice on the other side this person's trailer, they already have a couple of those quick connectors, but they're gonna be a different size. So they're gonna have different capacities.
So some of the specs of the ones that we're talking about today is that it's gonna be rated for 3,300 pounds. So make sure that's gonna be compatible with what you're pulling behind you. And it's always important to go from the lowest rated component. And then for the actual thickness of this link, this is gonna be a half inch thick, so that's pretty beefy, but it also is still small enough to fit through those larger openings or those holes like your safety chain loops just fine. And then for the total length, this is gonna be four and 1/8th inch long.
So if you have a really tight spot that you're trying to get it on, you might struggle with it. But in most cases, especially around your safety chain loops, that's plenty of room. And here's another little look at it compared to the one that we have on the other side. And this one looks a little bit beat up. Its probably seen some better days and part of that is due to this one. It's new, but it's also gonna be constructed from a low carbon steel and it has a zinc finish to it. And that zinc finish is gonna help it from corroding over time. Now this is gonna come in just a kit of one. So if you are gonna be using 'em for pulling the trailer behind you, make sure you grab two of them at least so you can pull safely behind you. Now in my opinion, I think this is gonna be a solid choice 'cause again, the construction's really good. It's gonna be large enough for most applications out there. And just, it's gonna save you a little bit of hassle when you are trying to connect your chains to your trailer. If you find things being a kind of hard to reach spot like it is right now, or you just need a little bit of a bridge to make your connection. Now if you guys do decide to go with these, let us know how it's working for you in either a comment or review. And of course, if you have any questions, let us know here at etrailer. And again, I'm Matt and thanks for watching.
