After buying a large piece of remote land in Northern Ontario—deep in the Arctic watershed—we knew access would be the real challenge.
In this episode, we attempt to reach the property overland for the first time. I follow old winter roads, try to cut a path through thick poplar bush, and scout ahead with the drone. What starts as a slow, uncertain push turns into a turning point when I meet a local hunter who knows the land better than any map. He walks me straight through a hidden trail and shows me a clearing I never would’ve found on my own—the place where the cabin will go.
This is where our off-grid journey starts to take shape.
