Want to make the Ultimate Scrappy Quilt from 2.5" Wide Fabric Strips? Here's an idea you can't resist!
One day I started cutting up fabric remnants to make a gazillion 2.5" wide fabric strips. I didn't stop. I just kept cutting and cutting. In the end I had enough 2.5" strips to sew (4) queen size quilts. That's a 'ell of a lot of strips.
This quilt's working title is "Spare Change" because all the fabric I cut up were just bits and pieces lingering and hogging up space in my studio. Raiding my own stash is like discovering lots of spare change to spend.
My intension with this video is to get you interested in making projects from scrap fabrics you have on hand. I'm not just talking about quilts, but making fancy beaded purses, table runners, oversized potholders, body-size 54" quilted pillows, an much more.
I've got a lot of videos to upload in the coming weeks, so please tell your friends about me, Linda Lu Sewing. Please subscribe, hit that "like button", and for sure the "notifications button" to get future videos.
Looks like we got some scrappy sewing to do . . . see ya soon!
