The Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs will tomorrow host a public lecture on the global disorder and its impact on Africa. The lecture comes at a time of war in Ukraine which has drawn global attention to the crisis at the expense of long-standing challenges in Africa. This has seen leaders like WHO Chief Tedros Ghebreyesus lamenting the neglect of the suffering people of Tigray due to the conflict there and the humanitarian crisis elsewhere in Africa. The UN Humanitarian agency, UNHCR also complained recently about the shortage of humanitarian aid funds for drought-stricken East Africa, as the international community has diverted millions of Dollars towards support for Ukraine. Joining us now to talk more about the lecture tomorrow is Prof. Anthoni Van Nieuwkerk. He is the Professor of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Thabo Mbeki African School of Public and International Affairs.
