I put my new Weize TPLI-12100AH battery in the freezer for two hours to confirm that the low temp protection sensor is working. This protection is to prevent damage to the cells from charging below freezing. If you use a very low charge rate on the order of 0.01C it's safe to test these by dropping in the freezer. I previously did a rough capacity test on this battery and got over 1200Wh. This is the same battery that @WillProwse reviewed here:

These have been selling on amazon for as low as $250 with free shipping in recent weeks and some commenters on diysolarforum.com were questioning if this new batch was the same as before and if it had cold temp protection. So I did this test to confirm.
