PEUGEOT presents a new exterior design with the new PEUGEOT 508, available in sedan, SW and PEUGEOT Sport Engineered (PSE) versions. (At the time of this report, the new PEUGEOT 508 is not yet available to order in all new variants.)

The front section is designed to be even more innovative and dynamic and bears the brand's new emblem. The new PEUGEOT 508 represents modernity by fully integrating the grille motif into the volume of the bumper.

These models feature a new signature 3-claw headlight system at the front. They are integrated into the slim LED matrix headlights with their unique design, which all versions are equipped with. At the rear, the new LED lights are integrated into the 3-claw design with indicators.

Matthias Hossann, Design Director of PEUGEOT: “With the new character of the PEUGEOT 508, the lion brand underlines its technological innovation and feline design. The narrow headlights and the 3-claw signature are part of the radiator grille, which flows into the bumper. This creates a unique front end.”

A clear upgrade can be seen in the interior of the new PEUGEOT 508 and PEUGEOT 508 SW. The improved quality and modernity are reflected in the materials used for the new upholstery as well as in the new, optimized gearshift, which offers a better driving experience and more ergonomics.

On board the new PEUGEOT 508 is the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit ® with the latest technology. Thanks to the new PEUGEOT i-Connect ® Advanced infotainment system with a 10-inch (25.4 cm) high-resolution screen, connected navigation, natural language voice recognition, wireless connectivity and over-the-air updates.

The new PEUGEOT 508 represents PEUGEOT's high quality in terms of driving pleasure and comfort, complemented by driving assistance systems that ensure even greater safety and comfort. These include: the Night Vision night vision system, which detects animals, pedestrians or cyclists in front of the vehicle at night or when visibility is poor, level 2 semi-autonomous driving, consisting of adaptive cruise control with STOP & GO function and a lane departure warning system, HD cameras as parking aid , controlled driving mode with 3 modes (Normal, Comfort and Sport).

The engine range of the new PEUGEOT 508 and PEUGEOT 508 SW includes two rechargeable hybrid versions, the new HYBRID 180* with 132 kW (180 hp) and the HYBRID 225* with 165 kW (225 hp).

The new PEUGEOT 508 and PEUGEOT 508 SW also include the two combustion engine variants: 1.2 l PureTech 130 EAT8* with 96 kW (131 hp) and 1.5 l BlueHDi 130 EAT8* with 96 kW (131 hp). All engines are equipped with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new PEUGEOT 508 PEUGEOT Sport Engineered (PSE) plug-in hybrid with 265 kW (360 hp)* and all-wheel drive is the flagship of neo-performance.

The new PEUGEOT 508 meets the needs of customers looking for a vehicle with a sporty and dynamic silhouette that offers a real driving experience without compromising on technology and connectivity. People are looking for more environmentally conscious solutions and for efficient engines and driving pleasure. The new PEUGEOT 508 SW combines the practicality of its elegant silhouette with its family friendliness for younger customers.

A rechargeable hybrid engine with all-wheel drive is available on the PEUGEOT Sport Engineered (PSE)* developed versions of the PEUGEOT 508 and PEUGEOT 508 SW:

The plug-in hybrid's Li-ion battery has a capacity of 12.4 kWh and an output of 102 kW. Two types of chargers are available: a 3.7 kW single-phase charger (standard) and an optional 7.4 kW single-phase charger (standard for PEUGEOT Sport Engineered).

The estimated charging time for a full charge from a standard socket (6A) is approximately 10 hours.

A petrol engine is also available:

1.2 l PureTech 130* : EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission with 96 kW (131 hp) and automatic STOP & START system

Diesel engine:

1.5 l BlueHDi 130 EAT8* : Eight-speed automatic transmission EAT8 with 96 kW (131 hp) and automatic STOP & START system

The combustion engines meet the strict Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standard, which is currently being approved according to the WLTP protocol* (Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedures). All engines are equipped with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission.
