This unforgettable two-day family hike took place in late October, navigating snow-covered trails and icy paths up to the Vittorio Emanuele II Mountain Refuge, perched high above Valsavarenche. With perfect alpine weather, panoramic mountain views, and challenging conditions, the sense of family achievement at the summit was unforgettable.
This is the first video I’ve shared that isn’t a bike ride, but the adventure demanded to be filmed. From dramatic alpine landscapes to quiet moments on the trail, this hike was too special not to capture on video. Don’t worry—cycling content will be back soon.
As for the music, I was experimenting with a 7 beat rhythm, some new drum sounds, and a chord sequence with a circular feel, and this was the result. I like listening back to early musical sketches and finding out how utterly different they feel and sound to the finished article.
