The Tyee Club of BC (Canada) is the only salmon fishing club of its kind. The original rules for the club required the use of simple tackle, maximum 20lb test line, and that the boats had to be rowed when fishing. These rules were the early signs of a sustainable fishing industry. To become a member, fishers are required to catch a Chinook(Tyee) weighing more than 30lbs. As you can see, this is still a vibrant fishery.
