Original airdate: 1/28/2019 | An iconic building that has towered over the Lehigh Valley for nearly 50 years is expected to disappear from the skyline.
The owners of Martin Tower-once the face of Bethlehem Steel -are ready to tear the building down.
Bethlehem city councilman Bryan Callahan told 69 News Lewis Ronca, one of the building's owners, said the owners will seek to demolish the building.
Ronca said no firm date has been set for a possible demolition, but March has been suggested for a possible date.
Ronca did not specify whether crews will tear the building down by implosion or by demolition.
Bethlehem mayor Robert Donchez confirmed in an email Martin Tower will likely come down this year.
