This lecture explores the fundamentals of creating and manipulating flexible lists, commonly implemented as linked structures that resemble the compartments of a train. You’ll learn how to program a linked list in Python using nodes — each containing a value and a reference (pointer) to the next node. The lecture demonstrates key operations such as appending elements to the end, inserting at the beginning (with a special approach to handle Python’s reference behavior), and deleting nodes by value. Both recursive and iterative implementations are discussed to illustrate different programming styles and trade-offs.
