6'6 SF #TamarJackson 2017🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥might be the sleeper of the year, the kid just keeps getting better.
#SLEEPERALERT
-Tamar Jackson has become the sleeper who refuses to ever be slept on again. Let's remember the fact that Jackson took home an MVP trophy after winning the 2017 City Summer League Championship game after hitting the game winner, knocking off a great Irodequoit squad. This is the same Irodequoit squad that has been busting heads all season.
The difference is that Tamar was playing for Leadership Academy.....Tamar transferred to UPREP for his senior year, this had to be a major decision for the 6'6 forward. Yet, the chemistry has always been there since Tamar is also a member of the 17U #RSBAELITE squad. Jackson conditions year round, the kid is always around basketball, this is his passion.
If Tamar had stayed at Leadership he would've been the franchise player for the program, but Tamar is a humble individual. Jackson wanted a chance to compete for a State Championship, Tamar knows that it's not the end of the road for his career so he wanted a chance to be part of something special his final year of high school.
Of course Jackson understood that he would have to accept a lesser role at UPREP but the kid makes a living on the court doing all of the small things that makes him so valuable.
Coach Reaves understands the value of having Tamar on the court, he creates frustration for opposing teams.
Jackson is a long athletic kid who has a solid skill set. Those credentials will give you a starting job at any high school program in Section V but playing for UPREP gives you an opportunity to compete against the best, gain credibility, and a chance to become a champion.

-Great game played today between both squads, so many new faces are making a names for themselves as the season wears on. Lots of good basketball, and these two teams will be facing off again in the near future.
But..........Coach Reaves and his Lions came to play yesterday. The tension was thick in the air before the game even started, this was a big game. Two of Section V Basketball biggest heavyweights went at it, this wasn't for a sectional title but Bragging Rights are crucial especially living in the same city. Jeenathan didn't start off the way he wanted and Nahziah was in foul trouble the majority of the game. So this game was about who had a deeper squad, Coach Reaves let the LIONS off the chain🏀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯. UPREP has a deep bench that any coach in Section V would love to have, these guys have been playing together for years in fact this is just the beginning. The young Lions are ready to eat, which means that this isn't the same UPREP team that lost to Irodequoit. Coach Reaves squad has already got their vengeance on a tough Niagara team, offering them a "cold plate of food"💯.
When you have a player like Williams of course there's an advantage but this is a TEAM/FAMILY/PACK/VILLAGE we are talking about. Everyone knows the origin's of this UPREP squad, all you are witnessing is the tip of the Iceberg.
Yet, BK was definitely in the driver seat during the game and foul trouble changed the way BK operated on Defense. Let's face the facts, Nahziah will be playing on National TV this fall. The university of Dayton have invested a quarter of a million dollars on Carter already, so foul trouble to your Star player is a game changer but this is a Team sport.
Coach Goode will be in the lab with his squad and this lost will be used as motivation as the season becomes real. The Kings are a super talented squad but in order to win Big these guys are going to have to believe in each other. The level of talent is unreal at BK too, several of the starters at BK are also ballers on the football team, the heart is definitely there. It's just time to decide what's most important, let's be real the season is almost over. Every game should be used as a practice for the Sectionals.
