Winter at the Schwemmalm Ski Area
Ski holidays at the Schwemmalm for both families and experienced skiers
With a total of 25 km of ski slopes, even the most demanding and expert skiers enjoy the Schwemmalm ski area located above Pracupola/Kuppelwies. Set on a sunny hillside, this small but charming ski area in the Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley is used by a number of well-known skiers for training.
The Schwemmalm ski area also attracts families for holidays in the snow. Thanks to its compact size, it is possible to have an overview of the entire area. At the center of the Schwemmalm ski area are the Schwemmy Snow World, the Bärenhöhle Snow Kindergarten and a ski school. Besides skiing on the slopes, paragliding, snow sledding, cross-country skiing, ice-skating, ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking are also offered. After a busy day on the slopes, there is still plenty of time to relax at one of the numerous traditional mountain huts.
With support services including ski rentals and storage, a ski bus, professional ski patrols and a regular schedule of events, nothing is overlooked in terms of hiking holidays at the Schwemmalm. New 2016: The Schwemmy Kinderland
The little ones are calling the shots next to the Kuppelwies cable car mountain station — this sunny field has been made into an ample practice park for our youngest guests. Soft slopes with fun characters and two modern Sunkid conveyor lifts, 60 and 80 meters long, make learning to ski fun! Additional attractions like the Schwemmy Bear mascot guarantee a fun way to jump into winter sports.
While the kids frolic and slide in the snow — with or without skis — their parents and grandparents can enjoy the winter sun on the terrace right next door. Schwemmy Kinderland is open to all guests, even adult beginners and enthusiastic sledders. The Kinderland, skating rink and cross-country run make the cable car mountain station the new place for snow fun in the Ultental Valley.
