Pakistani authorities have announced that all the hostages have been rescued and the train hijacking in Balochistan province has come to an end. The standoff, which lasted for a day, resulted in the deaths of all the Baloch Liberation Army's rebels involved. Security officials have rescued over 300 hostages, although some were tragically killed during the ordeal. A Pakistan Army spokesperson has reportedly announced that the operation resulted in the deaths of 33 Baloch rebels and 21 hostages. Pakistan Army's Lt Gen Sharif said, “The armed forces successfully concluded the operation in the evening by killing all terrorists and rescuing all passengers safely.
