Accommodation is the ability by which the vertebrate eye changes optical power to maintain a clear image or focus on an object as its distance varies.
Mechanism of accommodation contraction of ciliary muscle - suspensory ligament relaxes - lens alters it's shape becomes more spherical.
Range of accommodation - difference between far and near distance.
Amplitide of accommodation - difference in refractive power of the eye between these two points.
