How can Start Network harness the collective power of its members to expand access to critical resources in a sustainable way? This session explores how organisational strengthening is about the combined strength of a diverse network, where every member, local or international, has something to contribute. Members share how peer support initiatives have strengthened their systems ultimately enabling them to create more impact in communities.
Building on these experiences, the session also introduces the SHAPE framework: a self-assessment tool. The Strategic Humanitarian Assessment and Participatory Empowerment Framework (SHAPE) is used to analyse an organisation’s strengths and gaps, their humanitarian capabilities and their voice and influence within the humanitarian system
