Question: One of my relatives got an undivided share of property as a wedding gift from father's uncle's son. Whether I will get it into any problems or tax consequences on this?
Answer: Property received on occasion of marriage should not generally be subject to tax in the hands of the receiver. Gift from father's uncle's son should not be taxable in your hands.
